We’ve Joined Checkatrade and have a New Van on the Road
At Drain Doctor, we are proud to announce that we have joined the Checkatrade scheme in East Anglia.
Finding a trusted, reputable and cost-effective tradesperson in the local area has long been a challenge for homeowners with issues they need to be fixed. Until the last few years, word of mouth has been the only way to find a tradesperson, other than simply picking one at random using an internet search or the phone book. The result can be a variable standard of work and often an inflated price.
We are firm believers in transparency and giving consumers as much information as possible so they can make an informed decision. While word of mouth has been the backbone of our business, we thought any scheme that gives homeowners easy access to trusted tradespeople who have been vetted and monitored had to be a good thing!
How it works
When you need a tradesperson, simply enter your postcode and the type of job you have i.e. drain/sewer clearance, and you will be presented with a number of companies in your area that provide that service.
The real beauty of the scheme is that all the tradespeople have been rated and reviewed by homeowners like you. That means you have an indication of their reliability, the quality of their workmanship and how courteous they are before you pick up the phone. You can also see exactly what jobs they do and whether customers were charged in line with the original quote or estimate.
As Rob Simpson explains: “This enables people with a plumbing or drainage job to choose Drain Doctor safe in the knowledge that our work is constantly being reviewed by our customers. What’s more, as part of the Checkatrade scheme, we are also vetted and can confirm we are Suffolk Trading Standards approved.”
A new van coming to a drainage problem near you!
Our second bit of good news in a busy July so far, is that our new Vauxhall Movano is already out on the road helping our customers. The van is equipped with a high powered pump that delivers 12 gallons a minute at 4,000psi. That means, whatever blockage you have, we can easily wash it away. The van also has a CCTV drain survey camera to locate and identify leaks and other issues, and as always, it’s driven by one of our highly skilled plumbing and drainage engineers.
Rob is delighted with this latest addition to the team and is committed to “expanding and improving the fleet to support our growing customer base.”
